Housing Options

As you are well aware, Hurricane Isaac brought much devastation to areas around the region.  As you connect with volunteers around the country that want to come to help, you may need housing for them.  Here are several locations that have housing available.  By the way, it’s also a great time also for our local churches that weren’t affected to “pay the love forward.”
Celebration Church

We will house adult work teams for the purpose of recovery restoring of homes and churches.  We will be providing housing only for a small charge per night per person. If you know of any teams that need housing you tell them to email Toni Collins at tonic@celebrationchurch.org

Camp Hope

We are a volunteer housing facility located in Arabi, LA. The building itself was an elementary school before Katrina and has since been renovated and used to serve thousands of volunteers. Our mission is to serve those who've come to serve our community. We provide dorm-style living and can accommodate up to 325 guests at one time. We also have hot showers, a community dining hall, TV, Wi-fi and laundry facilities. We charge a small fee per night per person, which includes three meals a day Monday through Friday, and breakfast/lunch only on the weekend.

You can find all the information and forms, as well as submit an online reservation at our web address www.camphopenola.com.  For questions, please email Deb Dale at camphoperes@gmail.com or call directly at 504-491-4112.

Aurora United Methodist

We have been hosting volunteers since Katrina.  We no longer coordinate work projects, but we are still set up to house volunteers.  We’ve hosted over 100 at a time on several occasions.

Our housing coordinator is
Mark Gstohl at 504-460-1354 or auroraumchousing@gmail.com.  There’s also more info at www.auroraumc.org/Pages/Volunteers.aspx
All Nations Fellowship

We are in need of teams as soon as possible as work orders are coming in from all over those communities (LaPlace, Lafitte, and Braithwaite).  Our church will provide housing and the tools necessary to do this work.  Please help us answer the call of God to meet this need and to proclaim His absolute faithfulness.  The time is now!

Please contact us by phone at 504-330-5793 or missionsteams.anf@gmail.com or on our website at www.allnationsfellowship.org  under the "Hurricane Relief" quicklink.

Canal Street Church

Our church at 4302 Canal Street is open to hosting groups that come down for recovery work. We have room for 30 people and have showers and facilities available.
